I poked around the van trying to find a spot where it would blow on us while we are sitting at the table and could also be directed at us while we are sleeping. I couldn't find a suitable location so I bought a swing out articulated TV arm to put it on.

I made a mounting bracket from wood and ran some 12 volt cable to the batteries with an inline fuse.
Now it can be moved around to get the best position no matter whether we are at the table or in bed asleep.
This is pulled out on the arm to direct air at our table.
This is pushed back against the side wall and aimed at us when we are asleep.
When we are travelling the fan detaches and is put away and the swing arm is locked in position in its bracket.
